Meet Our Newest Agent: Jaymie Hooley

Genevieve Williams Real Estate is growing! We are thrilled to announce the addition of our newest agent, Jaymie Hooley. Jaymie is excited to kickstart her real estate career and brings both her passion and dedication to GW. She delivers a 5-star experience to clients and seamlessly guides them through every step of the home buying and selling journey. When you drop by our office, be sure to say hello; until then, here’s a bit about Jaymie:

How long have you lived in Charlotte and what brought you here?

17 years and counting! My husband and I moved to Charlotte from California primarily for a job opportunity, but we were eagar for a new adventure too.

What neighborhood do you live in?

Chantilly. We’ve lived here since 2008. It’s such an incredible neighborhood with great walkability. Plus, we’ve made some amazing friends.

What attracted you to working in real estate?

I’ve always loved homes — everything from design and projects to how a space reflects someone’s personality. Homeownership is special. It’s where people create memories, comfort, and a sense of peace. Being in real estate lets me combine my passion for homes with helping others find a place that truly feels like their own.

What’s your favorite thing about working at GW Real Estate so far?

I’m loving working at GW Real Estate! Geneiveve has over 20 years of experience and has built a stellar reputation — not only because of her success, but because of her knowledge and her willingness to help. I’ve reached out to her many times over the years as a Chantilly homeowner, and she’s always been generous with her time. I’m also enjoying being part of a team of strong women, who each bring unique strengths, perspectives, and talents. Together, we create a balanced, inspiring environment that motivates me every day. Overall, it’s a truly supportive and empowering place to be.

What are some of your favorite local restaurants, shops, and hangouts?

This is a hard one! We have so many amazing spots close by. I would say that Catalina, Intermezzo, Good Food on Montford, La Belle Helene, Fig Tree, Optimist Hall, Dilworth Tasting Room, Villiani's, and Paper Skyscraper are all favorites.

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

Even when I’m not working, I like to be productive. Let’s be honest, there is always something that needs to be done around the house! It’s always nice to get a good workout in and have a fun family dinner out so no dishes! Then probably relax with a face mask and a good movie (comedy, of course!) with my family to wrap up the day.

What was the last TV show you binge-watched?

Season 2 of Nobody Wants This on Netflix. Definitely recommend! Both Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are fantastic.

What was the last thing you read?

Funny Story by Emily Henry. After being left by her fiancé for his childhood best friend, the protagonist Daphne moves to a small town and ends up sharing a house with the childhood best friend’s ex-boyfriend. Emily Henry is so witty and never misses in my book.

What celebrity would you love to meet in person?

It’s a tie between Mick Jagger and Carol Burnett. Quite the unusual pairing, isn’t it?

What was the most recent trip you took?

Croatia, specifically Split and Hvar. It’s a great place to visit and explore. Delicious food, rich history, easy to navigate, and beautiful coastlines.

Do you have any pets?

A sweet dog named Jack Jack. He is a Bullmation, which is an English Bulldog and Dalmation mix.

What phone app do you use the most?

Hands down, Instagram. It can really suck you in, can’t it?

What would be the first thing you’d buy if you won the lottery?

Is this a trick question? Real Estate! Haha. Specifically, one splurge would be an industrial workshop for my husband stocked with endless tools to make furniture.

Name one thing on your bucket list that you haven’t done yet.

I would love to travel to all of the National Parks with my son.
