A Guide to Every 2026 Color of the Year

Sherwin-Williams: Universal Khaki

The new year is a good time for fresh start, wouldn't you say? One great way to start anew is by adding a little color to your wardrobe, home, and life.

Paint companies and color aficionados make their annual predictions based on everything that is happening in design, pop culture, fashion, and home trends. In past years, you would often see a variety of hues, but for 2026 there seems to be a definite theme.

Industry experts predict calming colors that reflect a desire for peace and simplicity. Full of versatile neutrals and nature-inspired hues, here is a round-up of all of the 2026 Color of the Year picks...

Pantone: Cloud Dancer

Pantone’s latest pick was both surprising and controversial. White, an achromatic tone, as the color of the year. Interesting! Pantone says that Cloud Dancer “encourages true relaxation and focus, allowing the mind to wander and creativity to breathe, making room for innovation.” From a real estate perspective, white is a consistent winner when used appropriately. It makes a space feel spacious, full of light, and clean so this is one controversy we don’t mind.

Benjamin Moore: Silhouette

A rich, deep espresso brown with charcoal undertones, Silhouette was chosen for its blend of warmth and sophistication. It's a grounding, yet dramatic neutral that creates depth and a cozy feel. Perfect for creating a moody moment in your home!

Sherwin-Williams: Universal Khaki

Universal Khaki is an earthy, mid-tone tan with subtle yellow undertones. A foundational neutral, Sherwin-Williams’ selection serves as a lasting style and makes for a great alternative to traditional whites and beiges.

Dunn-Edwards: Midnight Garden

A deep and muted green, Midnight Garden embodies the quiet elegance of nature and evokes the image of a lush garden under the moonlight. This green almost serves as a neutral because it works so well in countless applications from cabinetry to color drenching.

Graham & Brown: Divine Damson

Named after a ripe damson, which is a plum-like fruit, Divine Damson is an opulent color with hints of fig, mulberry, and garnet. One of the more vivid picks for 2026, we appreciate the luxurious feeling of this lush tone. It’s dramatic, but still very liveable!

Glidden: Warm Mahogany

Warm Mahogany is a rich, inviting red. It’s bold without being bright thanks to muddy undertones that feel earthy. Glidden’s 2026 pick is a little reminiscent of its 2025 choice, Purple Basil, but this year’s color leans more historic. It reminds us of beautiful old brick so we find it a bit more versatile in terms of home applications.

Behr: Hidden Gem

This sophisticated smoky jade is a beautiful blend of blue-green. Another 2026 selection drawn from nature, Hidden Gem is a comforting hue that works equally well as a calming accent color or a vibrant statement piece.

Valspar: Warm Eucalyptus

Another green makes the list with Valspar’s Warm Eucalyptus! A soothing and restorative color, Warm Eucalyptus takes a cue from its namesake plant by promoting balance and harmony in any room of your home. We particularly love it for a bedroom or bathroom.

Dutch Boy: Melodious Ivory

Melodious Ivory is the embodiment of a soft, creamy neutral. It is timeless and effortlessly pairs with countless other colors throughout your home. While still a warm shade, this off-white has a crisp, brighter undertone that Dutch Boy says is perfectly suited for “showcasing handmade pieces and bold layers.”

C2 Paint: Epernay

This pale, sophisticated yellow by C2 Paint reminds us of the French countryside in the best ways: champagne, sunlight, warm stone walls. Epernay has a golden glow that is subtle and balanced — neutral enough for every day, but still fresh for 2026.
